1609 collective is a bermuda-based community for women. we are a curated space where women of all different journeys (locals, expats, founders, mothers, etc.) come together for real connection, in real life.
the backstory.
we’re named for 1609 — the year the Sea Venture ran aground here, and one hundred and fifty strangers had to figure out how to become a community overnight. today, that’s still the assignment.
this community exists because of a problem the founder, Victoria Simons, lived herself: bermuda is one of the most extraordinary places in the world to live + one of the most isolating if you don’t have a solid social circle.
we’re here to create organic spaces for you to find yourpeople.
